In the company's current team structure, they do not have someone who specializes in anything related AV/VTC but rather the Executive Desktop support team has learned to pick it up and support the AV/VTC equipment out of necessity. The manager would like to bring an individual on who specializes in AV/VTC support from both a day to day perspective and help bring their current AV/VTC environment to the next level in 2019. This person would be responsible for working with their current equipment (Logitech, Skype) to support daily meetings as well as larger company meetings. This involves ensuring the equipment is up and running and if something doesn't work during a meeting, troubleshooting it and helping to get the meeting back up and running. Outside of the day to day support there are 2 huge projects this individual would be responsible for helping with and an important part of. Currently, they are having to fly executives out of the country for meetings in South America which obviously impacting their budget and they would like this person help get their global support aligned so they don't have to continually fly executives. As they look to grow their global support the first focus is on South America (the most profitable for our client) they will be focusing on 4 regions: Brazil, Chile, Peru and Mexico where they want all the AV/VTC equipment the same so the executives can communicate clearly across all the regions. He said this global support project will be done in 3 stages: the first which is the executive experience, one or two executive board and conference rooms, in each region, will have the top equipment. The next level is the collaborative experience where the VPs level and above will have top quality but not the premium level as the executive experience and lastly the standard experience. This will include keeping the same Logitech equipment and rolling it out to all the conference rooms that don't have it now. In the first two parts of the project, this person will be working with the managers to make a vendor selection (Cisco) on what AV/VTC product makes the most sense for the client. The manager would ideally like this individual to have experience working with vendors and product selection as he is not as well versed in AV/VTC vendor selection.
