The payments market globally is growing strongly and changing rapidly as new players enter market niches and existing providers respond with new propositions. This environment is contributing to considerable interest in client from banks/financial institutions and has prompted the requirement for a Product Marketing Manager, to expand the product/solution marketing resources within Client's Enterprise Payments.
The role will be responsible for identifying the needs in the target market segments (particularly in North America and Europe) and ensuring that Client's payment products/solutions are developed, available and best positioned to take advantage of the rapidly evolving opportunities. This will require the development of appropriate SME content for sales and marketing collateral.
Maximizing the effectiveness of this role will require close co-ordination with the all members of the Marketing team, together with the Product Management and Sales/Pre-Sales teams. The role will report to the Director, Product Marketing.
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
' Developing and maintaining a full understanding of the requirements for payment and liquidity management solutions (including relationships with the key associations, influencers etc)
' Building and maintaining a full understanding of the competitive market propositions (particularly in key target markets) and the implications for Dovetail
' Ensuring the development, availability (working closely with the Product Management team) and appropriate positioning (working with the Sales/Pre-Sales team) of Dovetail products/solutions
' Developing SME product/solution content for sales and marketing collateral
' Providing input to market plans for key target markets (opportunity analysis/objectives/key activities)
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
' Technically strong, with a solid understanding of transactional banking payments solutions
' Commercially/analytically strong
' A product focussed mind-set but with an ability to work across the Marketing 4Ps
' A good writer/content developer
' A firm focus on quality/attention to detail
' Ability to manage projects and processes to deadlines in a dynamic environment, often working remotely from direct line manager
' Strong collaborative team player able to co-ordinate activities across teams
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
' BA/BSc or equivalent
' At least 7 years' experience in financial software product/solution marketing management
' Strong payments/banking sector knowledge/understanding/experience (with a preference for a European focus)
